Virtual University of Medical Sciences (VUMS), has entered into a partnership memorandum with the CanHealth International institute in order to promote training programs internationally, and to achieve a prominent stance in region, VUMS represented by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education has entered in to this memorandum of understanding with CanHealth International Institute.The aim of this memorandum is to use the CyberPatient educational platform(developed in collaboration with the University of British Columbia-Canada). Students, assistants, fellows and faculty members of the 5 Iranian pilot universities can use this platform for a period of six (6) months and it is renewable every six (6) months.CyberPatientis a digital hospital that provides online interactive training. With the help of this platform, students of medical sciences can reach over 120 specific and simulated clinical cases so that they can examine the aspects of cases to become familiar with them,before visit real patients.It is predicted that using this educational platform, will help to improve critical thinking and decision-making skills and will promote patient safety and decrease student burnout.
